Breaking News - Incredible Scenes

This is like Mayo/Dublin all over again. The plucky protesters gave it everything there in the 1st half but you get the feeling the evil Dubs will be a different animal when they come back having had their go go juice

A bit of a let down I wanted to see this kick off. il be disgusted if they donā€™t go in hard.

Protesters have detained and cable tied an undercover cop.

This is going to get very saucy.

Live rounds?

The protesters have one of the guards :zipper_mouth_face:

If a colleague life is in dangerā€¦

gonna send in the crazy 88 now

Those trolley barricades donā€™t look up to much

Theyā€™ve a fella tied up on a chair who they have reason to believe is an undercover cop who was masquerading amongst them as a member of the press. Someone was hammering the fella in the chair over the head according to Kay Burley. Huge mob of people around him. There will be hundreds killed when the police raid the airport.

ā€œAn incredibly tense, live and fluid situation, with tensions running highā€. Sheā€™s going to have an orgasm Kay Burley describing this.

He might not be a cop. If he is all hell will break loose but theres talk heā€™s a rival protester, a red shirt so that might mean they donā€™t came back all guns blazing. He has a Chinese passport but that nothing unusual in Hong Kong. He could be some regular Joe for all we know, all reason has gone out the window at this point

Scratch that heā€™s a cop alright. This will get fucked up, they are stamping on him now too

The Chinese army will be in shortly and weā€™ll have another Tienanmen square.

They are moving him somewhere

Iā€™m watching this with no sound. How could they tell that he is a cop?

Confirmed from the police in Hong Kong. There was 2 of their men undercover. They managed to free one but not this guy. The paramedics seem to have him now, would be the best thing for the protesters to give him back

And the ambulance whisks him away. That should at least defuse things for a while. Smart from the protestors to let him go but the visuals of him being kicked and smacked about will do them no favours

People stranded waiting for flights watching on while all this was happening. Surreal. As an aside, why does everyone in Hong Kong wear glasses?

I must say too, credit where itā€™s due, that was some top class reporting by Stuart Ramsey, my humble self and our cameraman Mark. See you at the press awards
