Bitton has been very sloppy so far. You can see the evidence of Thursday night’s efforts on a few players - notably Johansen and Bitton who are struggling.

What’s the story with the pitch?

It looks terrible which is strange as it’s been in superb condition the last couple of seasons.

Extremely lazy effort at a cross there from Ambrose. Didn’t suit his right foot at all for any sort of angle but played it anyway and just handed possession away.

Didn’t deserve that at all. Credit to GMS for his pressing the keeper which created the corner. Thought Griffiths should have played the ball back to Johansen on the subsequent chance.

They look very uncertain at the back when we can get pressure on. All the more reason why we should be isolating them and letting their front 3 or 4 press right up on goal kicks.

Andy Walker calls everything wrong. Brown was perfect there.

Matthews is another who is having lots of heavy touches so far. Goal has definitely settled us though.

Poor half. Definition of a Euro hangover. Battled a bit better as it went on, Brown has been dogged in fairness and the goal came from a rare burst of energy. Hopefully that will settle the likes of Bitton and we can play a bit more football second half. Ref is a bit of a concern. Liable to give anything.

Griffiths shuold do better there. Had lots of time and angle to find something better.

Game opening up now. We should be taking better advantage of these opportunities. Playing the wrong pass too often.
