Picture the scene , Cameron & Fraser both asStewart Melville Old Boys and professionals with some Edinburgh finance house . Both hungover in Dublin Saturday morning , wearing a silly kilt for bantz . Then some Sorcha snowflake type pestering them about Scots independence and the EU .

The Brits want full access to the European Financial Services market. The Eurocrats have told them to take a running jump. We are getting into the nuts and bolts now and the Brits are going to get a right shock when they finally realize what leaving the EU means. The city of London will be pulling Boris’s strings fairly sharpish you’d imagine.
It could seriously damage the UK’s major earner, that is the finance sector, but at least there’s a couple of hundreds lads fishing in Grimsby who are looking forward to a bright new future.

It is hard to know what to make of the Tory government strategy. Excessive populism, weak blowhards at the top and facing into a serious existential problem for their federation.

Who are going to be locked out of European markets for their catches unless they agree to a fish rights agreement similar to watch is already in place.
They will sell the fish to the Commonwealth of Nations.
Is that not Europe’s problem too though? London is a financial epicentre and trades with every dirty bank /jurisdiction on the planet. The flow of dirty money and all the new banks/companies needed to make sure it keeps flowing will surely keep it going anyway. Banks will need clearing houses within and without the EU now.
Clearing houses will go the way of the Dodo.

The lads in Guernsey got a right land when they tried to get their catch processed in France last week. The French told them to go and take their catch and sod off home. The fish rotted.

So big finance houses in London will pack up and give in rather than creating morally dubious financial structures to ensure finances keep flowing? Hmmmm…
The finance houses have all started moving staff and some operations to Dublin, Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt etc. already. But they haven’t really properly moved yet, as they’ve been waiting to see what happens. This will speed up that process.
It’ll speed up the process of boris reversing I’d imagine. I’m presuming here that noone could be that stupid, but I could be wrong
