Kennedy invaded Cuba, nearly started a World War over Cuba a year later and significantly ramped up the US presence in Vietnam, which would lead to war.
Obama has really only carried on existing military operations and in the case of Iraq ended them. I’d prefer if he had done a lot more but he has significantly improved the image of the US throughout the world and overall will be undoubtedly considered to be one of the better US Presidents.

Although historical myth says otherwise, it is now generally accepted he ordered a complete withdrawal from Vietnam in 1963 (and was dead 50 days later, possibly not unconnected).
Obama has been the weakest US president in modern history, winning popularity contests counts for shit.

Interestingly enough, “they” were probably right, scary as it is. The USSR only had 4 intercontinental nuclear missiles at the time and the US had hundreds. A few east coast cities would have been sacrificed, but the USSR would have been obliterated.

Kennedy was far from the worst US President but it’s incredibly naive to think he was uninvolved in what went on under his tenure.
He personally approved the invasion of Cuba which could have had disastrous consequences.
The US Presidency is that kind of a job though, they all have serious black marks against their name.

Least of all Obama who has gone along with every hair brained idea from the Pentagon, such as arming the “rebels” in Syria and creating ISIS as we know them.
