What the last week shows up is the utter uselesssness of Labour under Corbyn. The DUP are nearly the official opposition at Westminster now.

What does ‘enough’ mean in this context?

There’s enough votes there between the moderate labour and lib dem mps to get this thing through. Someone like Ken Clarke needs to start working behind the scenes to make this happen.

One curiosity is that the fringe Eurosceptic wing of the Conservative and Unionist Party has a lot of Taigs - Rees Mogg, Cash, Bone, IDS. Back in the 1990’s there was a theory that one of the reasons the UK had such a difficulty with the EU was a cultural difference between Roman Catholic interventionist types and Protestants.
