Seems he was wrong with his election prediction as well

Zero chance of a no deal brexit in my opinion.

Not a significant electoral blow. More RTÉ spin.

That’s excellent.

It is and it isn’t.

It’s not a signficant blow in terms of this parliament as it is inevitably going to end sooner rather than later and Johnson seems happy with that.

But the Tories had a majority of 8,000 in this constituency, it voted for Brexit, and if they lose seats like this in a General Election, they’re in deep doo-doo.

Another thing it showed is that tactical voting patterns among Remainers could be much more prevalent than previously thought.

Turnout was almost 60% which is very high for a by-election.

This clusterfuck wouldn’t have happened on berties watch

That’s even lower than a million to one shot

If you believe this, this is your genuine get rich quick scheme

You can get 8/15 on No Deal Brexit not happening by January 1st

You should bet everything you own on it

I’d actually sort of prefer a no-deal Brexit just to get this shit over with

If Corbyn became PM before October is it fair to say that he has no idea how he’d cope with Brexit? Maybe he might end up just accepting the backstop and leaving but that would split labour and he wouldn’t get it through parliament. It will drag on for another few years.

“I’ve got three words for those bloody politicians - get on with it!”

Wrong thread. Nothing to do with Corks chances of an All Ireland

exactly. If the Lib Dems couldn’t win that they were at nothing.

Impressive candidate all the same. Interesting in that the vote in that area for brexit reflected the national average, but now seems to have swung significantly towards remain. That is boris and the torys problem really, the loathsome shower of bigots.

Not really. If the Brexit party werent running the Tories would have won. Plus the lib dems had a free run with no Plaid Cymru or Green candidate running. That wont happen in a GE. But a no deal Brexit is probably the only way the tories can win the next GE.

And if my auntie had balls and all that. The anti brexit vote still outweighed the pro brexit vote.

Boris wants the election asap, he’s delighted tories didn’t win last night

It didn’t.

It did. One article says incorrectly that it didn’t.

Can you add?
