BREXIT thread

is there 84 left?

They have 84 MP’s alright, the folks resigning and are only resigning their cabinet positions and going to the back benches.

Gove needs to step up now and deliver what he promised the electorate

She’s dancing on the heads of her cabinet today. I know she’s as venal and self serving as the rest of them, but she’ll be looked on kindly by history. To even get to this point with waht’s supposed to be minding her back is an achievement.
This is all terribly amusing of course and a hard Brexit would provide much mirth. But it’s Ireland that’s most important here and the deal she has on the table is the best for us, so Ireland should be rooting for her to succeed. I like the omerta within the Irish government at the moment, no triumphalism, just under the radar with tacit support.
On the other hand, anyone laying into the DUP is to be commended and shoukd be given great encouragement.

Merkel has said she is ‘very happy’ with the deal.

You can be sure that will toughen the resolve of a lot of Torys to bring it down.

May’s about to go to see Sir Graham Brady. The game’s probably up for her so.
(An aside - how many of these lads get knighthoods? They seem to throw them around like confetti).

Might be no harm to bring s few things you can use to barter with

Was O’Cuiv in charge of 3 depts by the end of it.

I almost feel sorry for May… stitched up by all sides.

They will leave her in a room with a glass of whiskey and a revolver.

Ah jaysus — we’ll have a 500 post debate now about what whiskey she’ll be given.

Simple Tesco own brand probably goes best with a revolver

Paddy or Powers also.
