Bridge over troubled water - Simon and Garfunkel v elvis

Art nailed that.

He’s only gone and fucking nailed that

And he knew it too

Fagan must have loved that fist pump

I loved that fist pump. He knew he’d nailed it.

He did. Musta been some serious concerns given the break and the fact the other fella was looking over the shoulder. Incredible though. The moment he knew he had it and then drilled home the last few syllables. Iconic

Ah lads

Lie Le lie

Simons smile and Art with the hand on the back, in full flow a joy to behold.

Ah lads. Ah lads.

Ah lads

Toying with the crowd here.

This will be some encore

I made the mistake of checking now much time was left. Too soon. Too soon.

Oh my word. My word.

Fuck. Chills

Ah lads

10,000 people maybe more….

I always had this song pegged as their greatest

Fucking iconic

I don’t know the full back story but based on the reaction there one of them hated the other one

I’d have left it at Sounds of Silence. But fuck that was incredible. Thanks for the heads up @Fagan_ODowd

No harm to hear another blast of Late in the Evening.

Just a couple of points to note. There were no big screens in those days. The guys at the back of the crowd could see two dots a half a mile away.

There was no Autotune. Art Garfunkel could nail Bridge Over Troubled Water or make an utter bollix of it. There was no fella in a booth to smooth out rough patches. He nailed it.
