British Army League 2026

Arsenal have a massive squad but they don’t have any real top players and when it comes down to it they’re piano pushers not piano players and the non-piano pushers they do have are fannies.

Haven’t the London Blues won 5 or 6 of them since the London Gunners last won one?

Powerful team physically, I think Arteta is an incredible coach but his inability to tolerate any maverick tendencies in a forward is holding the team back. Merino is a big miss, but his suggestion in Jan was to bring Tonali, another technically proficient, workaholic midfielder. Eze could be done at the club.

The should get after one of the top French forwards. Maybe Dembele as I don’t think PSG would part with Doue or Bercola. Or maybe Alverez from Athletico.

Chelsea have a savage winning mentality in fairness to them, even when they aren’t great.

Pat Nevin said that a couple of years ago. Thought it was thought provoking but he was just cogging from Wenger so.

They’ve gone to the opposite end of the spectrum. They used to be renowned for their style of football under Wenger but weren’t defensively mean enough from 2004 onwards.

Liverpool probably bought the lads Arsenal needed last summer.

The pressure on arteta is immense… Arsenal are fighting on 4 fronts… maybe he should going all out to win the league and not worry about the cup competitions

That’s actually not a bad point as they should’ve been beaten. I was making a cup of tea, but I heard the commentator referencing them arrogantly trying to walk the ball in. Could you imagine Luis Suarez or Wayne Rooney messing around like that? They need a leader in that forward line. There’s a few lads there that wouldn’t start for any other top 10 side. Gyokeres, Odegaard even, the little Brazilian. Saka looks gone physically, just looks zapped. I wonder could they get Bellingham.

They’re steeped that they’re not up against Prime City under Guardiola. They wouldn’t have a hope of ousting a team who could go beyond 95 points if needed.

You’re trying way too hard with the edgy hipster soccer chat now. Arteta a great coach! He’s an absolute clown of the highest order. They’ll still probably fall over the line because the opposition is so weak. It’ll be in spite of Legohead and not because of him though.

I mean in terms of the way they are organised and the very solid squad built with lads like Rice, Zubimendi, Saliba. Their forward play leaves an awful lot to be desired, they’ve bought badly and put faith in lads that plainly aren’t good enough. The team is very solid and well put together, they just don’t have the forwards to implement the plan. If they ever sack him, he’d succeed Pep at City, but I can’t see them ever sacking him. He does need to take the next step though with the investment put in but he’ll say he didn’t sign Gyokeres!

The narrative that the Arsenal of today are trying to walk it in is a cod… the premier league is made up of 20 teams who won’t give you an inch of space compared to their European counterparts…
I think arteta is doing a great job… he’d be one of the most in demand managers if or when he leaves

When he took over Arsenal they were declining year in year out… he steered the ship around and has Arsenal as challengers the last 3 seasons… they’re in the hunt for 4 trophy’s this season… if he pulls it off(and it’s a huge if) he’ll prob go down as one of the greats …

Oh don’t worry. Miguel Delaney will come out and say that it wasn’t an Arteta signing if it doesn’t work out. He’s starting to peddle that line about Eze now.
