When you have an empire, its inevitable that some of the subjects will gravitate back to the mother country.
Johnny Veg Sexton has no hope of being the Out Half for this.
The whole point is britain vs the colonies. They shouldnt rely on players from the colonies
And a fucking foreign cunt of a Manager too. You couldn’t make it up.
Finn Russell could be a bolter at out half. Wonderfully talented player.
Hardly a bolter if you think he’ll take Johnny Veg’s spot.

G.D. Laidlaw (Gloucester & Scotland) must be pushing hard for a place?
Interesting choice of F.A. Russell (Stirling County, Warriors & Scotland) at first five-eighths.
He had a good game on Saturday in fairness, but I don’t really rate him as a very elite end scrum half. He’ll most likely travel as he offers cover for out half as well. G.C. Murray had a bad game on Saturday but has enough credit in the bank after consistently excellent performances over the last few years to remain in possession of the Number 9 shirt.
I don’t see J.J. Sexton as a viable injury free option.
Marler & Hartley?
Heaslip
I see he is a nephew of the great Roy Laidlaw .
V.M.L Vunipola is on the long term injury list and T.T. Faletau has had an injury plagued season as well. That has catapulted him back into contention.
The 2017 Super Rugby season starts on February 23rd.
I expect closer than normal attention to be paid to the competition on the forum, at least until June.
Not sure yet when the first Ranfurly Shield challenge of the year to holders Canterbury is.
I don’t think it was mentioned here, so congratulations to Dr. Enda Falvey of Cloyne, Cork County, Ireland, on recently being named Head of Medical for this summer’s tour.
Dr. Enda has previous experience from the victorious 2013 tour when he ably assisted Dr. James Robson (Scotland).
Congratulations also to Rhodri Bown (Wales) on his appointment as Head Analyst and Paul Stridgeon (England) on his appointment as Head of Strength and Conditioning.
The backroom and support staff is really falling into place very nicely.
With a bit of luck, perhaps another Corkman from our own e-parish may yet play in a part in a future Loins tour assisting Mr. Stridgeon - maybe as soon as South Africa in 2021.
Stridgeon - English.
Just had a pint with a former loin and Irish rogbee legend
Shane Byrne?
Nope thw great Bill Mulcahy
