Yeah I follow super rugby closely enough and blues are a long way behind the other sides. Lions set up to fail anyways no chance with schedule. Hopefully this will put an end to it but wishful thinking on my part I’d say

Nope, it’s true. They had little chance anyway, but they are playing a series of elite franchises, away from home, having played together for two weeks, and only a week off the plane.
Lads here then would complain about gaa intercounty teams running out of steam because they had 5 matches in 5 weeks

Don’t be getting lippy because your beloved poms took a bashing - You’ve chosen the wrong analogy there, mate… The Brits have about 50 on tour with another 50 on standby all with a Davy Fitz esque backroom team. They should be able to steam roll club sides at the very least.

I don’t buy this hobby lark. I’ve been told once too often by some farah clad yokel that the intercounty gaa lads train like professionals.
Also, I don’t class rolling out of bed at 10am to snooze behind some sponsored desk until lunch as “getting up and going to work”

There’s a lot of very ill informed comment here and lack of insight as to the club/provincial/super franchise structure of domestic rugby in New Zealand.
I’m guessing myself, mate - but I doubt i’m too far off.
