British Loins Tour to New Zealand 2017 - Official Thread

Good example. He only gets about 1m NZ dollars a year for it. Do you get as much for your digiredoo painting hobby?

ooopsy somebodys a little grumpy

Crossover between the two rugby codes is not unheard of. The victorious British Lions in South Africa in 1997had three quarters of their three quarter line made up of players who had played rugby league - Alan Tait, Scott Gibbs and John Bentley.

Not at all. On the contrary. Iv made a few quid out if this defeat and it is one step closer to the Lions being disbanded.

if you wanted to get into GAA analogies, it would be the equivalent of getting the Ulster teams (say Donegal, Monaghan, Tyrone and Cavan) to play, say Thomas Davis of Dublin. Even go one further, call it against Oliver Plunkets Eoghan Rua. Would you think the best teams from the Ulster province could beat the best club team from the Number 1 county with only 2 weeks prep?

:joy:
Indeed.

Actually what it would be really like would be getting a railway cup team together, fly them to nz for a fortnight, and then back , and get them to play the worst of the leinster or munster intercounty teams, say wexford.

Hi, pal… Flatters was comparing the Lions to a GAA squad…

and even if they did that, they would kick the shit out of them. I’d say Eoghan Rua would beat Wexford.

Excellent point.

I’m talking hurling here. I have little interest in football outside Galway and the semi final and final stages.

Stop trying to complicate it, they were beaten by a pub team.

It’s like the time the All Blacks lost to a Limerick pub team.

ah you’re not comparing like with like so. you have 4 of the top 9 teams in the entire competition merging for a game against a club team.

Apologies for not getting your dig in at the Wexford hurling team, that flew past.

anyway, GGA is shite, this is rugby country.

Fixed

Arsehole is an interesting choice of term there.

huh?

Yep.

Having savage banter here on viber with my rugger buddies… they are very defensive of their heroes.
