British Loins Tour to South Africa 2021 - Official Thread

https://www.skysports.com/rugby-union/news/12323/12212595/british-and-irish-lions-team-selector-who-impressed-you-in-six-nations-round-1 A lions selector. Doesn’t include room for bolters in the options though.

Henderson was one of the stand out performers during the 6 nations. Himself or Ryan will start at least 2 tests

Don’t know if it’s been confirmed yet but I got sent this today.

Surely no gtee there will be fans allowed by then inn the UK?

Private and Confidential

They are expecting fans for the FA Cup final. Will be pretty shit to see a big crowd in Cardiff followed by an empty Dublin.

4 tests? A very intense schedule there 4 weekends in a row. Coach Warren will have shuffle his pack to keep the troops fresh.

They are looking to do a trial run at the League cup final of 10,000 and then the FA Cup final.

To my untutored eye your man David Cherry the Scottish (probably second choice)

Be some coup for Chairman Dan to get the British Lions to play at White Hart Lane.

Saffers will have to have a serious panel traveling to fulfill all those matches

They were always 4 test series in New Zealand and South Africa up to 1983.

I was thinking I’d read that before when reading about the successful Lions tour of 1971. The victories over Scotland and England should help to secure healthy Irish involvement in the tour.

In New Zealand, the 4 tests were always in Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland.

In South Africa, it was 4 from Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Pretoria, Bloemfontein and Johannesburg.

Amsterdam would be a wonderful venue for a test . A big SA emigre there too .

No doubt the rugby fans would bring a special atmosphere .

Mickey mouse concept the lions. Hopefully very few Irish players get picked.

2 games in Newcastle? They don’t deserve that

A winning series worth nearly £100k for a starting test player, I’d say they’re certainly hoping it goes ahead without fuss.

I’d say Mike Ashley has done a deal with them. He sells a lot of their merchandise on Sports Direct.

What chance is there of being a full crowd in the aviva for that game?
