You said they “aren’t smears” and offered precisely nothing to back up your assertion.

Thanks for that.

Anyone watching Sammy on the clare byrne show?

She swings and misses at an easy target.

I’m not particularly interested in whether Corbyn is “inspirational”.

A lot of people think Boris Johnson is “inspirational”, and you won’t have to guess whether I think that’s true or not.

I’m more interested in whether Corbyn can win the next election or not.

Berger, Umunna, Chris Leslie and Angela Smith etc. aren’t interested in winning elections.

You may disagree, but I don’t think there’s any Labour leader out there who woould necessarily be doing that much better in this situation.

There are plenty of fair criticisms that can be levelled at him, most specifically over his ham-fisted dealing with the anti-semitism issue and over Brexit. I don’t think Seumas Milne’s influence is particulary helpful at this stage, either.

Those who are on Corbyn’s back all the time tend not to be particularly interested in fair criticism, though, preferring to throw out ridiculous smears and throw their toys out of the pram at every little thing.

Corbyn is so useless he managed to fuck over an entite country without even being in government. Imagine the damage he could do if he was in no
10.
He might actually be in the ra.

The horror.

Inspirational wins you elections.

Ineptness loses you elections.

Corbyn has consistently demonstrated the second.

You acknowledge he’s made a balls of Brexit. Considering that’s the only show in town in UK politics at the moment it’s quite the dropped ball.

Considering the shitshow that is May and the Tories currently it takes a supremely poor politician to be polling so poorly as a party and in personal terms.

Mock those who leave the Labour Party all you want but they see what large chunks of the public see. You, and others in the hard-left, who are so desperate for a messiah that you’ll make any argument to ignore the clear evidence that he’s not up to it. As I asked before - is that it? Is he genuinely the best the hard-left can muster up?

He’s at least as good as what the tories can muster up to be fair.

Not according to the british public. And i think that’s what counts.

McDonnell is far more intelligent and capable. Nuttier but he is a Chairman Mao enthusiast after all.

In a normal situation (not dissimilar to May on Europe) Corbyn would have gone long ago but the entryists know this is their chance.

Corbyn was pally around the IRA. He wasn’t being nuanced, he went against the Anglo Irish Agreement.

This, along with Iraq, is a part of the myth making of Corbyn of being “right before others”. Corbyn just takes childish positions on everything. If the U.K./US are for something, there’s a pretty strong chance he’s against it. Because he is a child.

Interesting how you ignore the rest on party dynamics.

The British public are thick, that’s self evident. I thought we were talking about how good a leader he is, by that standard he is surely at least as good as May or any of the Tory top brass. I admit that’s not a very high standard.

He’s pretty near as bad as them - and considering he’s in opposition, which should be way easier, and that they’re a car-crash, that’s some achievement in mediocrity.
