I said before the election that this government was likely to be a one time deal for Labour. In the US and now the UK, people in general aren’t in interested in politics, they aren’t interested in competent government. They’re interested in entertainment and pretending to be outraged about nonsense. Starmer is greyer than John Major’s grey Spitting Image puppet. Meanwhile the minority of people who actually do have an interest in politics have a lot to be genuinely outraged about, like genocides, and are being met with stone walls.
Farage has a chance of becoming PM in 2029 purely through peddling hate packaged as “entertainment”. The Tories will try to outdo him but the new leader will likely go down like a lead balloon, particularly if its Badenoch. I hope Badenoch wins because she’ll be hapless and will be gone within a year or two. Jenrick is a real nasty piece of shit but he has zero charisma.
