Bulgaria v Ireland & Ireland v Bulgaria

Very nice by Troy the boy

My understanding that I’ve garnered from media outlets is that we initially needed to stay above Northern Ireland in the Nations League pecking order with one eye to the Euro 2028 host spots. However they’re no longer hosting any games I believe cc @Casement Park. So that may be a moot point now. I’d say in terms of rankings and seedings it’s better to stay in League B. Don’t think it’ll necessarily effect the World Cup as the qualifying draw has already been made but the system is so convoluted now that it’s hard to tell. The Denmark v Portugal Nations League play-off will definitely have an influence on our group for the World Cup qualifiers.

Shades of the comeback in Helsinki.

That was a lovely cushioned touch from Troy, very Niall Quinn

Did that take a bobble? Looked like it

Mikey Johnston is too much of a liability in possession, when he’s in our own half especially

Parrott’s been very good all round.

We look to have more about us than normal.

The boy Troy has been industrious and impressive.

Collins has it all. If he cuts out the losses of concentration.

They’re making trouble for themselves trying to play out from the back with no midfielder looking for the ball

Great run and brave header by the Doc

Dooooohhhhheeeerrrrttttyyyyy

By god . Doherty slamming Bandages words down his throat.

Does this Des Curran chap be handed a set of clichĂŠs prior to the game and then told to face away from the pitch and read them out?

Hon the Doc

This Bulgarian keeper’s positioning is all over the shop

These Bulgarians are a rabble

Bulgaria are so bad even the Doc is scoring. To be fair to him he could easily have got the head taken off him by the keeper there.
