Bundesliga 2013/14

Dortmund didn’t look very fluid today in the bits of their match I saw.

Hofman (promoted from their second team) got a nice goal (with a lovely pass from Hummels) to get them one up and Reus made it 2 with a late penalty.

Here’s the Hofman goal:

VfB Stuttgart have sacked their manager Bruno Labbadia. My great pal Jens hated him.

Bayer looking wobbly early on in the big one in Europe this weekend.
One chance in particular saw Muller control beautifully on the turn in the bax but just drag his shot wide. Terrific atmosphere in the BayArena, the home fans haven’t stopped singing since kick off. The way Munich are playing though, they may be quietened soon.

Dortmund lost 2-0 away to Munchengladback earlier as well

Ribery going close again. He and Shaquiri are causing serious problems for Sami’s lads.

Bayer cannot get a hold of this at all, be a miracle if they hold out.

Kroos opens the scoring after 29 minutes. Ribery set it up, the defence just cannot deal with him at all.

Fuck sake, I had to switch streams after the Kroos goal. When the new one opens up its 1-1. Must have been straight from the fucking kick off.

Muller misses an open goal with a standing header.

1 apiece at half time but Munich should be out of sight really.
Bayer apart from the goal haven’t made any chance of note at all.

New phrase just coined by the h-t analysis team, Tiki-Taka Bavaria

First ten of the 2nd half and its the same story as the first.
Muller denied a penalty aftre a blatant jersey pull, one good save from the Bayer goalie and another cleared off the line. Gonna be a long 35 minutes for the home team.

Ribery had been outstanding. Muller wasteful. Neuer getting blamed for the Leverkusen goal - want to see it again but thought he needed to touch the cross away from the striker at the back post and was unlucky his second intervention rebounded to an opponent.

I thought he did as well, it was a smashing cross that was dropping onto the head of the incoming player.

Leno keeping Bayer in this now.

Another big miss, Shaqiri this time.
Just might not be their day.

Robben on for Shaqiri with 20 to go.

Big chance for Kiessling there, on his head and all.

Mandzukic on for the last ten for Muller.
Bayer have showed signs of life over the last ten, as in, they’ve spent a little bit of time in Munichs half.

1-1 it finishes. Madcap last ten seconds though. Schweinsteiger has a header cleared off the line, Bayer break and have a shout for a penalty at the other end.

Munich should have won by 6 or 7.

Enjoyable game. Exciting finish. Munich should have hammered them but Leverkusen defended really well.

Bizarre goal for Bayer Leverkusen against Hoffenheim tonight - the ball went wide.
