Bundesliga 2015/16

Looks like only Dortmund might trouble Bayern this season.

Bayern won 3-0 against Leverkusen today. A Muller goal (see below) and two penalties (one Muller and one Robben) saw them win a potentially tricky match comfortably. Their team selection was very interesting, they started with Lewandowski and 10 players who are all conceivably midfielders (Xabi Alonso was a centre back):

M. Neuer, P. Lahm, D. Alaba, A. Vidal, Douglas Costa, Juan Bernat, A. Robben, Thiago Alcântara, Xabi Alonso, T. Müller, R. Lewandowski

Wolfsburg one up on Bayern in Munich at half time. Lovely goal too:

Neuer nearly gifted Wolfsburg a second in a very Neuer-like manner.

But Lewandowski has come on at half-time and turned it all around very quickly with a 9 minute hat-trick.

And a fourth for Lewandowski. In 11 minutes!

Now 5 in 13 minutes! Incredible.

That’s 5 in 13 minutes in the pitch. The 5 goals themselves came within 9 minutes.

BT Sport 2 for anyone interested.

Must be some sort of record.

Has to be.

Lewandowski misses a fantastic chance to make it 6. Great clearance off the line but he should have buried that.

Didn’t Solsjkaer score 4 or 5 off the bench for United one time. Think it could have been against Forest

Very good. 4 seemingly.

Dortmund pulled one back through PEA.

Bayern 2-1 Dortmund

What are your thoughts on Aubameyang? His scoring record is impressive.

I had him written off last year but he’s been excellent under Tuchel. A few players have looked completely transformed this season and he’s been one of them. He wasn’t dreadful last year, I just didn’t really like him or Immobile but he’s in terrific form anyway.

From what I’ve seen of him, he’s got great pace but there doesn’t seem much else remarkable about him.

But when you look at his scoring record, it is fantastic. He’s probably one of those players you’d want to see in the flesh to realise how good he is.

Horrible start to the second half for Dortmund, completely undone with a routine ball over the top.

Keeper didn’t cover himself in glory either.

Bayern have won the Bundesliga.

4-1.

Pity. He was brutal for the first goal too. Dortmund have definitely improved but they’ve a fair bit of catching up to do to get to Bayern’s level.

No Pokal thread but this will do. Lovely goal by Douglas Costa to give Bayern the lead at Wolfsburg on BT Sport 1. He’s had a terrific season so far.

Was she a big Bundeslegia fan?
