Has produced poor enough champs the last 5 or so years but the irony is they have their best county team in a generation . Go figure .
Honestly, I think it’s because o donoghue has fostered a club mentality in the county squad. It is their club so to speak.

Always been the case, there is a direct inverse correlation between a dominant Galway club team and the fortunes of the county team. Some in Galway would say causation.
At least now in a famine since 1987.
