Musical chairs when Rangers die. We’ll play musical chairs when Rangers die.

This obviously continued for the whole half time interval.
We’ll pin the tail on the donkey when Rangers die
Keatings has came on to make his debut for St. Johnstone at Tynecastle. I knew he was small but I didn’t think he was that small.
It would obviously be ferocious craic if they did go out of business but when the dust settled surely it would be worst thing to ever happen Celtic? What the fuck would be the point then?
Presume there’s no chance of them ceasing to exist anyway is there?
More like worst thing to ever happen Rangers, gola. I’m sure a new rivalry will emerge over time. Let’s not forget Third Lanark were the kingpins back 100 years ago and they’re not really missed now. And if nobody steps up to compete then it should actually strengthen Celtic’s case to move to another league. A text book win/win situation, as far as I’m concerned.
If they got to move to another league would be well worth it for definite. If they folded and Celtic were stuck in spl I couldn’t think of anything worse however! Fuck me what would there be to look forward to. I’d imagine Celtic would lose out on significant revenue too so would struggle even more in Europe.
Is there a realistic chance of them actually bein gone tho? Theyd surely come back wit a slightly different name a la cork city?
Well the hordes of hun fans would presumably start a new club even if one wasn’t organised officially. Or they’d just start supporting Hearts. Celtic exist just fine without the huns though. Both clubs have been at their strongest in Europe when the other team has been weak domestically. The huns probably need the oxygen of their Celtic-hatred to differentiate themselves from your average Scotchman but the reverse isn’t true.
What revenue would we lose out on? We make a pittance on tv money as it is. If anything it would strengthen our domestic stronghold thus making CL qualification simpler.
We don’t need the huns anyway, it’s they who need us because without the sporting pride of Ireland there, whose culture and philosophy is their antithess, would be, like Clarkey in the Lucozade Sport Astro League, made redundant.
Would what I’m saying not be a worry at all though? Surely the fans would miss the games against them at the very least.
As a casual ‘fan’ who would admire and follow celtic more than i would any other club I genuinely think it would be a disaster but interested to hear the real fans wouldn’t think the same.
I’m sure there would be some negative aspects to it alright and I would miss the derby games. But the hun supporters aren’t going to disappear with the club and they would find a new way to get offended by the glorious Fenian anthems at Celtic Park. A new rivalry would emerge in time either with an existing club or a new team.
Bandage would never get over to see Celtic if there were no more Rangers game.
