@Rocko[/USER], [USER=2514]@Nembo Kid - I don’t think I’ll have time to watch the entire game later but I’ll watch the key segments as per your recommendations. So please note the periods of the game to focus my viewing on but limit it to a maximum of 35 minutes of highlights; e.g. 5th - 13th minute, 26th - 32nd minute, 41st - 45th minute, 60th - 70th minute, 78th - 85th minute.
Brown with a a long ball and Griffiths showed good pace to get on the ball first and then a really nice strike (with a tiny deflection) to finish really well from outside the box. 2 mins the time of the goal @Bandage.
1-1 FFS. Cross into the box Denayer with a poor header and despite a great block on the line from Denayer, we stood off the rebounds and let them poke home. Really poor defending.
That lengthy stoppage took a lot of the pace out of the game. We’re still pressing quite well and having the balance of play but it’s just a touch subdued.
Passing and tempo has improved in last couple of minutes of the half. 4 minutes added time and a shooting opportunity from a free after a foul on Brown with time elapsed.
Not much of note apart from the first couple of minutes. Griffiths took his goal really well. Defending for the goal was poor. Denayer had a poor header originally. We seemed to lack numbers in the box with Izzy dealing with 2 men at the back post and Denayer and VVD both took the option of rushing to the goal-line instead of marking anyone which left Ofere with a sample tap in after Denayer’s good block.
Armstrong not having a great day. Johansen quiet and a little off his game too. GMS has been bright enough but we’re not really getting our passing going consistently and they’ve been much deeper since the long injury delay.
