A good panel of common sense conservatives there, Iād be hopeful of a logical verdict being found. Not much opposition, @glasagusban would be whimpering in the corner, frightened by the sound of men arguing, @Cheasty would put up a battle though. Iād have to give a few sly digs about his recent ousting from the thurles sarsfields committee to soften his cough.

I was on a jury for an inquest. A young girl had been killed in a car crash when her equally young boyfriend brought her out for a spin in his new motor and crashed into a parked car.
I will never, ever forget her fatherās evidence about the guard coming to the door and going to identify the body.
I knew him to see, I remembered him years before playing handball in the ball-alley near my school and Iād thought him a massive, rock of a man.
He was broken that day in the witness box.

Absolutely horrific, I donāt think there could be many things tougher. There was a crash around 25 years ago in Clarina two local lads of 18 were killed instantly hit a wall at over 80mph one of them was decapitated by a traffic sign, his father had to identify him. Itās something that must haunt him and the other misfortunes like him until their dying day.
