Calling fellow historians

there was a second autopsy done SS, and the thing that killed him was the shot from a webley .357, standard issue to officers. there was no trace of poison in his body and the water found in his lungs was normal trace level, his brains were blown out by the headshot, the prince embellished his story to demonise rasputin even more

the prince was a worthless transexual that decided he wanted a legacy so claimed he killed the great rasputin:mad::mad: the press were littered with foreign spies who spent their time demonising the great monk when in effect he was the one peron that had enough influence at Tsarskoe Selo to save million of lives-

huh?..Eva?..

read the opening post please

stop trying to sound intelligent fake crakeā€¦it doesnā€™t suit youā€¦a bit like your football tactics this too is all about space and unfortunately thereā€™s far too much of it between your earsā€¦

ah ffs scumpot, can you not let a simple typo go

again ncc, itā€™s highly debatable about lives being saved, with the army at home there could have been a bloody and divisional civil war that could have killed more russians than ww1

As an outsider looking in may I ask was this the same man who was like Borris the blade and almost impossible to kill?I believe he survived multiple attempts on his life before they finally plugged him!

FFS scumpot- if you want to have a go at me fire ahead but i implore you to respect the integrity of this thread

he was eviscerated by a whore, but that was the only serious attempt on his life before the one that worked

i think a diseased prostitute tried once but apart from the actual assasination i dont think there were many attempts on his life -

:D:D revenge is a dish best served coldā€¦you have destroyed many a good GAA thread in your timeā€¦:guns::guns:

From what I remember reading he survived being stabbed in the stomach, eating cyanide cakes, even when his body was recovered the water in his lungs would indicate he was still breathing when he was thrown into the river.Rasputin was known as A powerful holy man and also A healer so who knows?

a lot of that has been debunked, cause of death was gunshot to the head

there was no traces of poison, and the water in lungs was only trace and no indicator of drowning

the quisling yusupovs account of the murder have to be taken with a pinch of salt-no poison was found in his body during the autopsy

just to clarify - this thread isnt about the life & times of rasputin but a chance for people to speculate on what might have happened if had not been murdered

Yes but the alleged cyanide attempt was at an earlier date by the Russians who were afraid of his growing power and influence.

oh sorryā€¦i think he would have went on to rule the worldā€¦

there was a first attempt by the errant prince but that was caborted, there was no cyanide in the attempt that succeeded
