 sigh- bismark- 2nd year history - the parameters of this thread & future history threads are about the pieces of history less travelled- for me im currently reading a book on the life of a 16th century miller in italy - for true history buffs this is of more interest than garribaldi yet kev wants to talk about bismarck

a little bit of advice kev- i dont ruin your nutrition threads with inane comments- dont ruin my threads with inane comments

Thats exactly what you do, but anyway.
I’m not claiming to be a history buff. Leaving Cert History is all about volumne and regurgitating a shit load of stuff that most of which you will forget pretty soon after. Such is the shite nature of the Irish LC.

I have an “interest”, i’m not blowing on trying to come across as some expert like you do.
I have an “interest” in sports, exercise and nutrition, i don’t claim to be an expert there either, despite my qualifications. I don’t work in the industry, where the real “experts” are.
I get the feeling your not a professional historian either, so save us the “I’m an expert” bullshit and just go on discussing your subject…like a good litte boy.

I’ve read that one myself, the story is based around the fact that none of the animals would help the little hen pick the wheat, bring it to the mill etc, yet when the bread was made they all wanted to eat some.

It’s insightful stuff.

[quote=“north county corncrake”]seriously guys - this thread is about what would have happened if rasputin stayed alive - it isnt a general history thread & there is strict parameters about who can post (dunph is it possible to lock threads from certain posters?)

also- if & when someone sets up a dedicated history thread please please can it be on speicifc interesting topics & not broad topics such as the world wars where no poster on here can bring anything to the table

Rasputin is still alive. He wasn’t human.

I don’t read history. I create it.

Did you note anywhere that you have passed the 10,000 post mark?

I imagine if you wanted to set up your own thread to discuss it with people of a similar mind NCC wouldn’t mind in the slightest. To be fair to the guy, he outlined his wishes at the beginning of this thread. Should you do the same in yours and respect his wishes in this, I’m sure a right minded guy like NCC would come to an agreement then.
