Calling Fran

Where’s a good lunch option either side of the canal around the Baggot Street area?

I’d say The 51 for a homely and tasty carvery but I’m looking for a restaurant type option.

You’d probably say Pearl again, would you? Anything else?

The Italian place at the bridge on Mespil Road is pretty good.

I like Chez Max

The Canal Bank Cafe is supposed to be nice.

Milano? FFS.

@Fran, anywhere decent around Merrion Row / Stephen’s Green for a late lunch? I’m thinking more cafe than restaurant and more wrap / sandwich than risotto / steak. My meeting in the area won’t be finished until 3pm so factor opening times and available offering into your reply.

Go to that Chopped place on the intersection and pay €8 for a salad like all the other fucking sheep cunts.

Not helpful.

Sandwiches in KC Peaches are actually pretty decent, mate. Or else there is a little cafe at the top of Dawson street opposite Elverys that do nice wraps.

But truly indicative of @Horsebox’s mood amd/or opinion . Just hit kc peaches and be done with it.

Are burritos finished as a town fad? Should he be hitting a gourmet spinach and feta donut or something?

I’ve just crossed the canal at drimnagh @Bandage. Want me to throw a canal swan into the back of the van? I could be into Stephens green in no time?

No they are still popular enough, mate. That Boojum place has a bit of a cult following and it is very ordinary. The Tolteca on Baggot Street beside Searsons is good though.

@Bandage the tiny Burrito place at the top of Dawson St beside the Whiskey shop is decent enough.

I had one from there recently. Twas decent alright. A lovely chipotle sauce.

Proper bang of garlic and chillies off them too. They fairly pack them as well.
