Can you post up the way you got NFL Gamepass for half nothing when you get the chance? Am considering shelving Sky Sports and the NFL is the only thing I’m keeping it for. Gamepass / Redzone access through the web on the cheap would be the nail in Sky’s coffin for me

Good question, I don’t know. You can buy it by the day and find out.
I’ll be cancelling my Sky once I’ve figured out my best alternative. I think I’ll cancel my whole tv package - never watch it. I have Celtic TV via a VPN but something like that would sort me out for sports (other than FTA Irish stuff I can get anyway). Don’t want to pay Gamepass too if I can help it but would rather pay for Gamepass than keep paying Sky.
Everything other than live sports is so readily downloadable anyway.
Yep, I agree. Paying a ridiculous amount per month for stuff that is never watched. Chromecasting as made this shit so much easier. Now all we need is better broadband outside Dublin.
You could of course go down the kodi route and get yourself an android box. I’m yet to be convinced by their suitability for live sport though - that’s the barrier for me.
you buy an Android box like an Amazon Fire box or something from China or wherever
you put Kodi or an alternative android tv package on it
you watch available channels or you subscribe to something like what I linked to above
If you want to watch movies/tv series then you have all you need there. If you want to watch sports then you can find what you want usually but you have familiar frustrations on quality and finding working streams that aren’t dissimilar to using firstrow or something.
As I said there are subscription feeds that you can get which should be more reliable but they could always be withdrawn. Hard to place too much faith in them.
There was a free game pass chrome add on which was the business but that’s gone now. As rocko said, the other alternative was Netherlands and Argentina, but both gone now too. The price of game pass has gone up this year because of vat in EU issues, so I’m waiting until discount offers or cheap countries become available. I prefer game pass because of the content and access to condensed games and games on demand. Plus all the other NFL network stuff on it.
But chrome casting mobdro could be an easy alternative too, especially as it has most of the American network channels on it which carry the games live.
