When the intelligent coaching community is breaking down academies Ireland starts building them
Iâll move this here for ease.
While i have you.
It appears Damien Duff may not have really done his âbadgesâ in the proper manner at all. âPrivateâ assessment. Not going back to assess with his club. Cutting corners. Not showing etc etc.
What have you got to say about that?
I know 2 or 3 lads who have âthe badgesâ and they are very much ABC Drill coaches. No real in depth understanding of the technicalities of coaching or how to manage players, but they do have loads of drills.
I have no idea if he has his badges or not mate.
Intelligent coaching communities ?
Huh?
You said he did the other they.
He certainly âgot themâ, it appears he did not âearn themâ and got fast tracked
I threw it out there mate
_WHEN Rebel Ăg drew up the training schedule for their underage development squads back in 2015, John Meyler, who was involved with the U15s, more or less tore up that programme. _
_In Meylerâs eyes, the programme didnât fit with his vision for the squad. He felt that they needed to be doing more. So they did. Outside of the planned schedule, Meyler and his management did ten extra Sunday mornings, mostly in Na Piarsaighâs grounds, with that group. Initially, the decision didnât go down well, with Rebel Ăg, some clubs and a few parents. _
The general feeling was that the programme was excessive but, after a while, those clubs and parents who may have doubted Meylerâs ideas, were won over.
You didnât.
You used it to support him being the right man for the job and to dispell any misgivings experienced coaches had
He trains 14 year olds mate. His footballing knowledge experience and his badges show he is the best man for the job
I bet you donât have any badges
UEFA badges?
If course not. Why the fuck would i waste my time in that rubbish.
He is clearly not up to the job.
A decelopment job is a very important one. A wreckles coach can have a hugely negative effect on a 15 year old.
Clearly?
You have no qualifications
I have plenty qualifications.
On top of the fact that my experience would make me additionally âqualifiedâ
What i have noted, the more badges guys have and the more they talk about them, seems to correlate strongky with their shitness as a coach.
Badges are rubbish box ticking exercises.
The evidence is there. Duff exposed himself as an absolute cowboy, going against any reasonable coaching science or standards there is
Your experience makes you qualified but Damien Duffâs doesnât
Wow
What experience has he?
