I was planning a christmas trip back home in 2015.
it has been suggested that I meet the in laws in Thailand or somewhere like that so as not to travel as far
any suggestions for a cheap beach holiday around 18 hours from oireland and 8 hours from oz?

Maldives is grand but I wouldn’t go back. Vietnam is amazing.
There are plenty of beach towns down south that you can hang out in all day… I wouldn’t imagine there’d be too many kids clubs… Plus Gary Glitter holidays there regularly. SE Asia wouldn’t be too child orientated really but plenty of beaches and swimming pools.

Same time zone as Ireland give or take, with flight through the night makes travel from here very easy. I love cape town and the surrounding areas. The garden route is lovely. Probably not what you are looking for really but we’ve always had a fabulous time there.
