Have a chance to go see them at weekend but it’s part if a festival and festivals here are utter shite. Is it worth putting up with 20k dick heads to see them as getting any kind of decent vantage point will mean arriving pretty early in 37-40 degree heat.
I’d go with weed, was a massively chilled out crowd in the Park for it, 30/40 year olds just enjoying the memories, no trouble whatsoever apart from a few fellas stoned off their tits who were harmless out. Bring the Adidas.
I was pleasantly surprised by them in Phoenix Park-had resigned myself to watching a bit of an car crash but they were far more polished than when I saw them in 97 or that. Good crowd mix at Phoenix Park which contributed to a great night but my understanding is that you are in Australia Kevin so I can only imagine that you will be surrounded by knuckle dragging, extremely aggressive and violent cunts so it will probably be tough going-stay safe brother.
The were fucking deadly in Heaton park. Just a pity that Manchester is a proper fuckin dump. It does explain where they got the inspiration for Made of Stone and the likes.

So basically I’m bring a bag of pills, a bag of weed and a knife. Pretty solid advice really lads, cheers.[/quote]
Weed is a waste of time at a festival/gig Kev. If you want to sit down at home and listen to their greatest hits on an LP by yourself, then bob’s your uncle.
You’re a fan of old? Well then get boozed/pilled up and bask in two hours of some of the greatest tunes of your life. You’ll dance like a loon, forgive the singing and rejoice in the genius.
