Calling Stone Roses fans

How did you find getting to and from the place J? Twas a nightmare trying to get back towards town after arcade fire a year or two ago. I’m going for longitude on Friday.

Grand getting there. Horrendous getting back. Walked to rathfarnham then further after a few pints to get a cab. Im back there next sunday. Might try the buses next time.

That’s what I thought. My friends walked to church town and had a few pints in a local bar and got a cab from there handy enough. It will be much later leaving next Friday though so will probably be carnage again.

Unreal gig. Was given a VIP upgrade. If you pay for it you are mugged off good and proper although small queues for beer and toilets in there but not worth paying for.

Lovely venue when sun is shining. Music to make you happy. cannot help moving to it

Getting out of there is a nightmare as they close all the side streets so you walk round the world

Ended up in Bruxelles later. Whoever on here said it is full of women in their 30s was right.

I stuck on I am the Resurrection there earlier. I don’t know of anyone out there who doesn’t fist pump over their head when those two choruses side by side kick in.

Anytime I’ve played I’ve usually just skipped to to the good bit at 3:40 or whatever it is.

On the 1989 US re-release version of the debut album, the opening four tracks (Elephant Stone is #3), and the closing three tracks (12" Fools Gold after Resurrection) are as good an opening and closing of an album in popular music.

Intro to elephant stone may have been one of the high points in popular music.

you need to qualify that by saying in your opinion and according to your bland tastes its a great opening and closing

As Terry Wogan said regarding a coked up Gerry Ryan’s over enthusiastic response to Riverdance - ‘Steady on!’

Why would I be saying it, if it wasn’t my opinion?

Lol

My missus has been learning drums for the past year or so,
She’s currently trying to master the intro to I am the resurrection, which she informs me is much trickier than it seems, very cool to hear it banging out from the front room :+1:

Ten years since they announced their reunion. Doesn’t seem that long ago.

It just about finished Ian Brown off.

I had the honour of sharing a spliff with Ian Brown in Dolans one night many years ago. An absolute gent
