It was a boys party. They seemed really nice people. The lads absolutely loved it. No fucking about, proper high speed karts.

Novelist Roddy Doyle, Chapters Bookstore, Parnell St, this lunchtime. Bald headed and bespectacled Roddy was wearing his trademark blue denim jeans and a navy anorak type jacket.
He was browsing books in the Fiction in Translation section.
