Celebrity Deaths 2013

Invalid selection.

Wrong thread Bandage.

I will take all this under consideration, its a strong argument.

MBB, In respecting your position of adjudicator for this important thread - Hugo Chavez was a celebrity in many respects and a high profile one at that. Not only did he almost singlehandedly take on the dark empire that was the Bush administration, he also ran a significant country, made communism really cool and most importantly, had his own TV show. The very definition of a celebrity. He has now died and I picked him. Therefore I have to be awarded the point. Whether or not he was sick beforehand is irrelevant. It is a widely held belief in most medical circles that the majority of people who die are in some way sick beforehand (excpeting those killed in battle, accidents, Cabra and members of the Cork political and accountancy professions).

Not awarding this pick would undermine the whole basis of the thread. It would also be an insult to the memory of the man and may cause some unnecessary heartache and indeed offence to Sidney during a very delicate time of bereavement.

I will respect your decision however, which I know will be made with the gravitas and intellectual rigour it deserves.

rule 3.

Whatever happened to camaraderie on TFK? Whatever happened to being happy when your fellow man is successful? Whatever happened to recognising skill and triumph?

Instead we have mealy mouthed, lowlife, jealous, nit picking, small pricks like Runt and Art who want the ball back when they lose. For shame, for shame. You wouldn’t see the Dunph acting like this.

This is not the bonhomie and sense of community that TFK was founded on. I trust that my good friend MBB will make the big mans decision, rise above the flotsam and bring glory back to this thread and indeed TFK.

skill picking a guy with 2 months to live ?

The skill is in getting in there first, which I did, you didn’t, you lose, live with it. If one of yours comes good, I’ll be the first to congratulate you.

Nice piece by Sean Moran about Paddy Downey today

William Moody aka Paul Bearer has passed away at the age of 58. He was the long time manager of the Undertaker. Rest in Peace has never been more appropriate for the man. A true legend.

RIP Hugo. He got his wish to be Presidente for life. Cancer is a cunt.

I see where Sean Diffley died as well.

Id say the CIA poisioned him

No sour grapes on my part as I didn’t enter the competition due my belief it is in very poor taste. You’ll also find The Dunph has a similar opinion.

This puts me a great position to act as an impartial adjudicator and you sir are a cheat.

Ah no. I remember the day I realised that Paul Bearer was a pun on Pall Bearer.

One of the great WWF managers. Himself and 'taker used to scare the bejaysis out of me when I was a nipper. Especially when they locked Hogan in the coffin and all the officials were trying to prise it open. Incredible scenes.

It might be worth adding sir Alex ferguson to my list after that defeat last night. Can’t see the man recovering from it.

Paul Bearer and Hugo Chavez RIP. Two modern day legends.

Paul Bearer was a legend. RIP

Chavez is not a valid death. No points are awarded.

That is all.
