Wrestling great Mick McManus has died aged 85. If your death can get on the Sky Sports ticker you have made it in the Celebrity world.

Irelandā€™s first celebrity chef, Sean Kinsella died aged 81. He owned The Mirabeau, an establishment which became a second home to Charles J Haughey and Terry Keane. He lost everything when it went bust in 1984 and he ended up in a council house.

Another backing musician gone, Trevor Bolder, bass player of the Spiders from Mars.

Never even knew his name, Iā€™m ashamed to say. If you permit me to sound like a wanker for a moment: his bass playing on the outro to Moonage Daydream is masterful, allowing Mick Ronson full reign to take that song away off into the stratosphere.

Former Manchester United footballer Brian Greenhoff has passed away aged 60. Played in the winning 1977 FA Cup final side.

He did and so did his brother Jimmy.

Who was it scored the goals? Pearson, Macari and Jimmy Case?

Jimmy Greenhoff scored. Macari didnā€™t.

Richard Thorp who played Alan Turner in Emmerdale has passed away aged 81. I went through a spell of liking Emmerdale around 16 years ago when he was landlord of The Woolpack.

Not a dead celebrity.

Both played for Leeds also.

Macariā€™s shot deflected in off Greenhoff

ah jaysus fagan, heā€™s one of the final links back to emmerdale farm, a legend and not a nonce

And not a council house dwelling retired chef.

Agreed

Yeah, remember watching it. Then Liverpool winning the European Cup the following Wednesday.

Bill Pertwee has passed away. Bill was Warden Hodges in Dads Army.
