I was in Tower Records in Easons early this morning. At the cash desk and I noticed I was surrounded by Ali box sets and DVDs. Jaysus you were quick out of the blocks there this morning I says to the assistant. Oh you have to make it easy for people they’ll be coming in all day looking for this stuff. Fuck sake I says he’s only dead about 5 hours. I know it looks a bit predatory but you have to help people says your man. It does look predatoryI said and I left it at that.

Ali’s goading of Frazier was unseemly. He did apologise for it in later years. Frazier consistently refused to accept the apology and continuously mocked Ali’s illness. Neither of.them covered themselves in glory.

There’s a cracking parable on social media about Ali and his entourage parking illegally at an airport and getting a ticket. It has no point except maybe that he shouldn’t have got the ticket because he was Ali.
