There was a great spin off show from in the heat of the night that was on TV in the 80s, don’t think I ever saw the movie but I enjoyed that

Sidney Poitier was included in the first ever line of Only Fools and Horses.
Grandad pronounced it ‘Potter’ and referred to him as ‘You know him - he always plays the black fella!’
