He got an Oscar with only a small part in Little Miss Sunshine.
He was in almost every scene, he was the crazy grandfather right?
He died about a half hour at least from the end.

But he had a big part and was the star of the show really, that’s a great movie
An interesting character Arkin. Quite a life lived, as anyone Hollywood related spanning those periods would have had. There was a good piece with him in the Guardian a few years ago
He had a lovely end to his career, The Kaminsky Method was a beautiful little piece, you could tell him and Douglas had a ball with it.

I would have said that Abigail Breslin was the star of the show given her age etc.
Arkin was excellent too of course.
