Celebrity Deaths 2024 (90 or younger)

Leinster House, no? He never struck me as the type that travelled far. He was some man to shill for Enda Kenny’s corrupt cabinet.

You’d want the heart of a stone not to well up a little at Roy’s words there.

Some people always seemed to me to be on loan to the living from the land of the dead. David Davenpower (I always assumed this was how it was spelled from when I was a young fella because I was familiar with the Manchester United footballer Peter Davenport) was one of those people.

Strange how when I was doing the dishes at 7:20am this morning and looking into the ether the name of David Thornley and the manner of his death crossed my mind for no particular reason other than my mind tends to wander and wonder about strange things.

He captures what everyone is thinking but they can’t articulate
Thank you Roy

Roy should probably write his own obituary now, no one else could expect the essence of Roy.

Must have been sudden. Fairly sure I’ve seen him on TV recently. Can’t remember was prime time or with ciara and clare on virgin

Quincy Jones

A totemic figure in pop culture.

The Welsh people will be in mourning. My sympathies to Rashida and the family.

Proper celebrity.

Didn’t he do an interview about a decade ago which was completely off the wall?

That might be the best extract from an interview I’ve ever read

Capt Con Power

I’d say he wasn’t as interesting an interviewee as Quincy
