Kelvin Wilson out injured. That’s a disaster.

What the fuck?

What are the implications?

Mulgrew to centre back and Adam Matthews in at right back with Mark Wilson switching flanks.

Lots of changes to cover one missing player.

Hooiveld hasn’t been named in our 25-man European squad. Neither has Rasmussen or Daryl Murphy.

Rumour is that Cha is playing instead of Matthews.

Other option was to drop Ledley back but that would be a ridiculous number of changes for one injury. The talk about Wanyama being a centre back was either premature or misguided or misquoted. If he didn’t play any friendlies there then he was hardly likely to play there competitively but we’re very short on cover. I presume Toshney or someone might be on the bench now as young players don’t have to be named in the A squad?

Brad Pitt is at Celtic Park tonight apparently!

Talk on Radio Clyde that Maloney’s getting the start upfront ahead of Samaras too.

Think we might be okay tonight but fear our lack of signings will cost us soon, possibly in the second leg.

Still need a striker and the clutch of current centre backs - Dan, Loovens, Kelvin and Charlie - won’t do at this level.

Will need the midfield to get a grip of the game - it’s our strongest sector by a fair distance, I reckon.

Forster; Cha, Majstorovic, Mulgrew, M Wilson; Brown, Ki, Ledley, Commons; Samaras & Stokes

Just in case the team gets lost there:

Forster; Cha, Majstorovic, Mulgrew, M Wilson; Brown, Ki, Ledley, Commons; Samaras & Stokes

Cha as predicted ahead of Mattthews.

Celtic subs: Zaluska, Matthews, Maloney, McCourt, Forrest, Wanyama & Paul Slane(!)

Slane - fucking hell. Last I heard he was long term injured. Suppose the starting team is best available bar maybe Cha. Must have based that call on his experience.

So Forster straight back in and Zaluska must be considering his future. Cha is presumably seen as being stronger defensively than Matthews but it’s not something he’s terribly good at so I wouldn’t have made that change. I think his positioning is suspect and he’s brutally aerially while not offering the same attacking threat as Matthews.

Otherwise no real complaints. Not much we can do. Precious little on the bench other than Forrest and McCourt. I guess Maloney’s impressive cameo at the weekend means he may offer something.

Re: Slane. He wasn’t even in the squad for that Nextgen game against Marseille the other day. Presumed Toshney would be a more natural guy to have on the bench to provide emergency defensive cover but those lads must not be back yet or something.

I think that Marseille game was only last night. We lost 1-0 in France so Toshney is probably only getting back today.

Bad news about Kelvin, any word on the injury and how long he is likely to miss. Could do with getting Rogne or Loovens back to fitness. Disappointed to see Cha get the nod ahead of Matthews though, he’s pretty toothless.

Any sign of a stream yet?

Totti, check this one out:

Seems to be fine.

Wilson has a dead leg apparently.

All the newly signed Sion players are available despite the row over eligibility.

That’s not a bad link actually. The Channel 67 quality is first class though.

No need to rub it in.

Thanks Bandage.

Those Under 19s are at Gatwick at the moment. Bit silly not having cover available but I guess Wilson’s injury was a late one. Not a chance Slane will see action tonight though if he wasn’t in the U 19 squad even.

Couple of alternative links that may work if the other one goes down:
