Howâs Boyata played?
Fairly well. Been impressed with him each time. Heâs not as dominating as Virgil but thatâs more a style thing - few centre backs get involved as much as Virgil. He seems to read the game well and makes lots of interceptions, stepping forward and then just playing it away.
Janko is a strong fucker.

- Mulgrew is a bit downgrade on Virgil
- Bitton was MoTM on Celtic TV tonight. I thought he was really poor for first 30 minutes, then he improved dramatically. And so did we. Heâs crucial to how well we play. We just donât pass the ball well without him.
- Armstrong has been a bit quiet.
- Forrest looks behind GMS and Armstrong in the pecking order now
- Griffiths has been sharp
- George McCluskey is a gas commentator. He described one pass today as surreal and he just meant superb I think. He also jumped in after 20 seconds tonight to say that a few players hadnât had a touch yet and you could tell they were getting nervous as the game went on and they hadnât touched it yet. He made a few references to this then over the next 5 minutes, it seems to be a thing for him. He has a lovely way about him though.

Penalty Eibar for handball by Boyata. He was putting in a great sliding block and had his hand up covering his face.
Saved by Bailly!!! Smashing save down to his right. Not much power but right in the corner.
Long ball over the top. Bailly comes to edge of his box to clear and misses completely. Eibar lad knocks it towards goal but Boyata recovers well to rescue the situation and hook it clear.
