I think the only way we get Duffy if he really digs his heels in over it. He’d be a terrific signing I’d feel.
We’re also linked with Sampdoria’s Omar Colley, he’s a 27 year old African centre half who has been a regular over the last two seasons so I’d say we’d be looking at €10m+ so I highly doubt it’s going to happen.
There are also reports that we are in for Hickey too but those reports seem to be emanating from Italy so I don’t know how reliable they are.

Duffy seems like a nice lad but a little bit simple. Not sure he has the pure ignorance to dig in to force a move, but it’d be great if he did.
Duffy would be a fantastic signing. He’d be good enough for any bottom half EPL team IMO, and an improvement on a lot of the fellas in the top half.
I don’t mean it as a jibe at the SPL, but he could play at a higher level, admittedly he’d have a few games in Europe. But he could definitely play at a higher level financially
More pressure playing for Celtic than a mid table EPL club.
Obviously Celtic wouldn’t be willing to give the same financial package those clubs could but it is not always about money. If Celtic can agree terms with Brighton I think Duffy would be willing to forego a few quid to play for a big club like Celtic.

I’ve often wondered why Celtic don’t leverage the Irish thing to pick up a few more lads. Duffy would be a massively popular signing. The likes of Robbie Brady would be a great add for Celtic.

Brady cost Burnley £13m, Celtic don’t spend that type of money on players and certainly not players who are just decent like Brady.

Burnley would probably be looking for £8-10m and Brady is a 28 year old crock who is now struggling to get game time with a poor Burnley side and a poor Irish team.
He’d be worth at punt at £2-3m but no more.
