According to German media we had scouts watching Sebastian Andersson of Union Berlin the other day. He’s a 28 year old striker, 6 foot 3, with a reasonable goalscoring record.
Stephen McGowan (with some expressing doubts over whether he remains the inside man) has linked us with Slovenian striker Andraz Sporar. He’s 25, also over 6 foot and has a very good record albeit in Slovakia.
Yeah Bayo has much to prove. Morgan has proven himself as not good enough. He filled in ok by occupying space against weaker teams but he’s nowhere near good enough in general play. I wonder if we’ll see Alofabi at all this season. Either way we need a striker, preferably someone more physical than Griffiths.
U fucking racist pig
Slovan demolishes Dundalk , did a number on braga, stood up to the Turks and went toe to toe with wolves.
And u in the west sitting in your ivory tower with your Levi’s jeans and your wrigley chewing gum dare to question the caliber of our leagues .
Corbyn may have been defeated but the spread of your neo liberal agenda will not go unchecked on here. You will reap a bitter harvest
Eh it’s December and he’s just returning from a 6 week injury. He also missed the early European rounds with an injury having missed half of last season too.
He’s also only had 3 starts this season, he should have had more game time. Lennon has been very reluctant to rest the likes of Ajer, McGregor, Brown, Christie, Forrest and Edouard this season. The likes of Rogic, Ntcham, Bayo, Shved should all have got much more game time than they have received, they need football and we should be able to give them minutes to find their feet.
We don’t have an abundance of centre backs to be resting Ajer. Ntcham has had a reasonable number of games. So has Rogic who is clearly still being managed in terms of games.
We need to win all our league games at the moment. The chances of us winning those games diminishes hugely when Bayo plays instead of Edouard (or even when he comes on for him). And of course you’ve completely ignored the fact that he has been injured for about 8 weeks already this season with his two injuries.
If Bayo had been fit in recent weeks he’d have started some important games and we’d know more about him. Unfortunately I’d still be surprised if I thought he was good enough after a run of games.
We should be beating the likes of Ross County, Hamilton, St Johnstone etc comfortably at home with or without 3/4 key players. The danger is we will lose a regular in the coming months and the person who comes into the team will be badly undercooked.
And we’ll never know it until he does.
I have not but he was hardly used when he was fit and ready, I think we’ll agree that he did very well at home to Hearts and was unlucky not to be credited with 2 goals. He spent the next 10 or so games sitting on the bench.
Scheidt himself later told the Sunday Herald that O’Neill had hinted at his likely fate: “I like footballers who are not like you,” the Celtic boss had explained. “I like footballers who play well.”
