He doesnāt have the mentality to play for Celtic. If we have a goalkeeping problem, Joe Hart will certainly not fix it.

Guardiola turfed Hart out because he canāt pass the ball short, medium or long and thus he was exactly what they didnāt want for a team that builds up from the back with the keeper heavily involved. Ange wants to build up in a similar way so I donāt think Hart would be a good fit for Celtic. Heād still be better than Barkas obviously (the drummer from Def Leppard would be too in fairness) but I donāt think heās what we need.

We need a goalkeeping solution and Joe Hart isnāt that !
Problem with him has always been his concentration levels rather than his ability which was excellent bar his kicking.
Wouldnāt fancy him at this stage with his reflexes dulled and basically no gametime for years. Id imagine he is expensive enough for what he is now as well.

As much as he isnāt Ederson with the ball at his feet heās not Forster or even Craig Gordon either. Iām neither for or against this signing because I havenāt seen him recently at all and didnāt see his decline either really. But I donāt think Barkas or Bain are going to be pinging it to wingers accurately either.
I was completely opposed to Hart this time last year, Iād organise the private jet myself for him now as opposed to a season of Barkas and Bain jumping away from the ball. Sure it may be a reflection of where we have fallen in twelve months, but we canāt be picky now given the options

Iād prefer to actually buy a decent goalkeeper. They are not ten a penny you know. Plenty of them out there.

I was thinking just this. There must be good keepers around whoād jump at the chance. We donāt even need someone stellar. Just solid.

Darren Randolph. Solid keeper, comfortable enough with it at his feet. Probably get him for Ā£2m.
