Celtic Transfer Window Summer 2021

Apparently, itā€™s on transfer market,

Has to be a lie, 15 year olds can go for free

Could have been paid to him and his old man who pretty much ran the club

Eddy to Southampton a distinct possibility now?

Mohamed Bayo??

23 year old French/Guinean striker.

Scored 22 goals in Ligue 1 last season. Few Twitter rumours about Celtic being in for him, presumably an Edouard replacement if thereā€™s substance to it.

His stats look decent.

Presumably we signed the wrong Bayo so previously as well!

Looks good. I donā€™t think thereā€™s much solid, just a few Celtic commentators putting his name forward in vague terms.

Canā€™t remember if it was a podcast or radio I listened to in recent days but there is great value to be got buying players from Ligue 1 these days. A tv deal has yet to be signed and clubs havenā€™t a pot to piss in. A decent offer should be able to get players if cash is offered up front and not in installments.

Surely every player Celtic sign should be with the idea of selling the player on for profit ?

The bulk of them yes but the board are so tight fisted they have made an arse of it.

Think Daniel Levy in a kilt.

Hart has no real upside to him. He might be marginally better than the current options but he wonā€™t win a league for you nor can you make a profit from his singing.

Heā€™s a dud and a bombscare. It was lazy, panic buy. It may work, it likely wonā€™t and the contract given to him means he will likely be Celticā€™s problem for some time.

Yep, ligue1 in crisis

Nonsense.

The team needs to be built to win things. Hart and McCarthy have been signed to win, not to make profits.

The best teams at selling players supplement their young players with experience (e.g. Tadic, Pepe, Otamendi etc).

Ye will win nothing with Hart and McCarthy. So they are pointless signings with no upside.

Where did himself and Kevin Kilbane become pals? Canā€™t remember where their careers would have converged. Good sign though if heā€™s drinking with a proud Irish man like Kilbane. He must be an alright sort.

Thatā€™s a big statement. Allan McGregor and Steven Davis are the 2 players in these roles at last years league winners, they are 39 and 36.

Steven Davis scored a huge away goal in stoppage time the other night for Rangers too.

@Rocko thanks for pointing out on the other thread that the game is on BBC2 Scotland later.

I couldnā€™t reply on that thread today, as itā€™s a matchday.
