Seems to be a big trend of LOI players going off to the SPFL in the last year or so. To be fair it’s probably a good platform for them to get regular football with decent exposure at a higher level.

Plenty of Scottish international footballers plying their trade in Scotland outside of Celtic/Rangers. Better facilities, stadiums, wage budgets. Higher transfer fees, TV deals.
There’s no discussion there whatsoever.
I agree with you regard wages , infrastructure etc Also it is a decent gateway to England .
However the standard outside big 2 is poor .LOI clubs have as good a record in Europe over last decade
LOI clubs have two bites at the cherry and can also benefit from easier draws via the Champions route.
As I said, there’s no discussion here. EPL players like that Longstaff lad can’t get into the Aberdeen team at the minute.

The Irish clubs have a big advantage of being mid season when the European qualifiers take place.
Hibs would be a far better move for Kenny. Still only 18 so plenty of time for a move to Celtic or England.
He signed a 3 year contract with Sligo recently too so they should get a decent bit of money out of it.

Patrick Roberts is out of contract at the end of the season. I know his career trajectory has been abysmal since he left Celtic but given what we know he can offer if he gets his confidence back and sorts his fitness out - surely he’s worth a punt?

Being linked with AZ Alkmaar winger Albert Gudmundsson (or something like that) on a Bosman. Think we came up against him in the summer. He shares the same agent as Rogic and the link appears to be based on that.
