Celtic Transfer Windows - Now 2025

Surely he can do better than the SPL. No offence

20m rising to 25m turned down now. Sure 100m is no use now at this stage of a window, business would have been done earlier you’d have thought…

Celtic have just turned down a bid of up to GBP £25mn - £20mn guaranteed & £5mn in add ons. The English window closes at 7pm so I don’t know if they’ll be back again. More than doubling your money on a player who’s been about a 6/10 over his 18 months is in theory VERY GOOD BUSINESS but that would be dependent on Celtic having a proper recruitment department & player trading model in place. It would have made sense had Celtic, say, arranged to sell him in coordinated way & had 2/3 decent signings already made in January.

I think they should take it and give it to MON to spend

And the centre back joining on loan is…Benjamin Arthur.

20 year-old contracted to Brentford, has made 3 (three) professional appearances in his career to date.

That’s a bit mad to be fair.

I imagine Welsh will go back to Motherwell now. So the central defensive cover behind Scales & Trusty will be Dane Murray & Arthur.

No buy option mentioned here.

Edit: There is an option to buy in the full signing article.

Laughable really

Jesus they better ring back quick.

Johnny Kenny possibly away on loan initially to Bolton.

Its just not enough @Bandage. How the fuck can we have landed on the Brentford 6th choice centre half as an option in our current predicament. We’d have been better hanging onto Welsh which is saying something

I think the Engels situation might actually spell the end for Nicholson. Imagine having to explain to Desmond that you had to turn down a 100% return in a player because you hadn’t the foresight to plan for it and have a replacement lined up!! Mr Burns and his trapdoor spring to mind😂

Mvuka has failed his medical according to my sources in France.

That’s the risk you take when you leave it until the last day to take an option way down your list after lowballing Frosinone for Ghedjemis, leaving Redzic hanging on & pondering over Maswanhise.

Maybe they’ll sign him anyway - I don’t know the exact medical issue.

“Retaining Engels is like a new signing”

It would be some laugh after they didn’t bother replacing Kuhn in the summer…after all troubles on the right flank all season…where they’ve played each of Yang, Forrest, Maeda, Nygren, Balikwisha, even McCowan…how they’ve spoken throughout January about strengthening in that position…if they manage to botch signing a right winger in January.

Celtic are monitoring out of contract right sided midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain!

I can’t understand why Celtic don’t lean into the Irish thing more.

Like sign Seamie Coleman on a 6 month loan.

Get a hold of Ferguson.

Ogbene, Festy etc

Looks like Mvuka is going to be signing anyway

Yes, the astute Celtic board have renegotiated the deal after the medical according to various sources.

Maybe it’ll be a loan rather than an outright buy? That would be 5 loans in January & not a penny spent…albeit a couple of options to buy.
