Talk that we’ve made Watt and McGeouch available for loan.
Not many concrete links for future signings.
Saw Ibisevic mentioned on twitter a few times yesterday. He’d be a terrific signing but no way we could afford his fee or his wages. He’s heavily linked with Lyon and we can forget about him.
Saw a Portuguese right back mentioned too. With Lustig and Matthews already in the squad that’s the one position we have best covered so again can’t see that being likely.
Forest have supposedly offered £1.5m for Kelvin Wilson’s return. Ridiculous rumoured fee and no chance of that happening.

Wilson really excelled last season and is our best defender since Balde as far as I’m concerned. He also seems to have a lot more ambition than Essex Gary and I don’t think there is any way in which he would go play in The Championship for a manager who froze him out of the squad after he made the decision to move to a bigger club.
A first Celtic goal for Amido Balde in today’s 2-1 win at Brentford. Calum McGregor scored the second half winner. It was mostly a development / reserve side with Ambrose the only starter who was in the XI at Cliftonville on Wednesday. Mouyokolo, Rogic and Watt also played.
Lennon expects Hooper to be part of the squad for the second leg against Cliftonville. Says negotiations are ongoing but no idea if they’ll be successful or not.
Today’s goals (after @Rintintin’s lads)
My man in Scotland tells me that a second bid for Wilson has been made and looks like Celtic will accept.
There are reports circulating that Napoli have agreed a fee with Mardid for Higuain. €37m plus another potential €3m in bonuses. Image rights relating to his contract could turn end up scuppering the deal.
If Higuain does join then he will be the third player to join from Madrid this summer after Callejon and Albiol.
Lennon was quite informative in his press conferences yesterday. Said that we will be trying to sign a “number one striker” whether Hooper leaves or not and we have someone in mind who we’ve been tracking for a while. Things not progressing quickly but still trying to get it complete by Thursday, for the Elfsborg game.
Speculation this morning that said player is Rudnevs of HSV who we tried to sign before he went there.
Rudnevs would be brilliant, how has he done at Hamburg?
Doyle on the other hand would be a nightmare, I’m hoping it’s just speculation as he doesn’t really fit in with the profile of players we have been targeting.
My sources in Scotland tell me that Celtic have accepted a bid from QPR.
Great news. Reported to be a £5m bid from QPR, that’s a terrific price for a very limited player in the last year of his contract.
£5m is certainly a very decent fee for a player with his contract status and with no intention of renewing.
Sky Italia inking us with Estigarribia.
Just recalling weren’t the huns rumoured to be interested in him around the time of the last Copa America when he was excellent and then they got that Spanish lad instead when Estigarribia went to Juve?
Confirmed.
Great stuff, I think he’s a good player and a direct winger which we are lacking in at the moment.
If Rudnevs and Estigarribia arrive and we manage to get a couple of good central midfielders then I think it will have been a very good transfer campaign.
Fee agreed with Norwich now for Hooper and he’s off there for a medical. Seems to be around the £5m mark again which is good - completely justifies the rejection of the bids in January - getting more for him and kept him for the Juve game.
Gary Hooper has completed his move to Norwich City. Neil Lennon said he’s been our best striker since Larsson in his press conference in the last hour.
82 goals for Celtic in 149 games. I was present for his first goal (versus Lyon in the Emirates Cup in London) and his last goals (versus Hibs in the Cup Final at Hampden), along with his finest moment in a Celtic jersey - his 2 goals against the dead ones in a 3-0 victory in his first season.
All the very best of luck to him.
Rudnevs has ruled out a move to Celtic. Rudi won’t be happy but nothing we can do if the player won’t come.

Neil Lennon is a fucking clown and Hooper is a cunt.
