Celtic Transfers - 2013 Summer Transfer Window

Some reports emerging that we’ve terminated Lassad’s contract. He was decent enough but didn’t make much of a difference so if there was a clause in there that allowed us to release him with no cost then I’m happy enough that he’d be replaced.

Conflicting stories on Baldé. Portuguese media are reporting that our offer has been accepted and terms are being finalised but some Scottish sources insisting that there’s nothing happening. I still think there’s something to this story, despite Lennon’s deinals yesterday.

Good news all round.

Werder Bremen seem very keen on Tonev all of a sudden. Think that one looks unlikely now. Maybe a quicker response from balbec might have got the deal over the line.

Oh and Lassad did leave yesterday. Better getting rid than having him around as a bit part player.

He obviously held out for a bigger club.

Daryl Murphy has officially re-signed for Big Mick’s Tractor Boys (BMTB).

Daryl Murphy had the worst goals to games ratio of any forward to play over 50 EPL games.

Talk of Crystal Palace hijacking that deal on SkySports.com

How many of those games did he play under the world class man management of Big Mick McCarthy?

Tonev has signed for Villa.

We need to be a lot quicker in sorting these moves out. In the past year we have missed out on the likes of Rudnevs, Henriksen, Tonev and now possibly Balde as we have been too slow to sort something out. We had been linked with Tonev for the guts of three months now.

I don’t know if we were that committed to Tonev. It’s hard to know for definite one way or the other but it could have been either club or the player stalling.

Portuguese media reporting that terms have been agreed for Baldé and he’s flying to Glasgow today for a medical.

Good stuff, I like the look of Balde.

This looks to be close to completion.

Baldé has given an interview in Portugal thanking his previous club, speaking how he’s “living a dream” and talking of how Cadete did well with Celtic.

Amido Balde has arrived in Glasgow with his agent for signing talks. He was pictured holding a Celtic scarf aloft outside Glasgow International Airport (very close to the spot where Rocko and I abused a party of British soldiers returning from Afghanistan 5 years ago). Seems a bit premature as players are usually very keen to avoid doing any of that kind of thing until everything is signed and sealed but, as Rocko says, he’s already given quotes about his excitement at the move too.

Has signed a 4 year deal my man in Scotland tells me.

What’s the story with Stokes, bhoys?

Looks like a big deal about nothing. The guy who is making the claim is certainly of dubious character as well.

Johnny Russell joined Derby, a bit disappointed we didn’t try to make a move for him.

Baldé deal done. 1.75m Euros with 10% sell on.

Celtic vs Liverpool sold out in under an hour.

The pulling power of Celtic on show again

Great stuff, I think he is going to be a star.
