Despite what I said just 2 posts ago I’m not too disheartened about getting him for 18 months. If he was that good he’d probably be leaving us then anyway. Having him for European qualification next season makes a difference - if he’s good.

Here’s a video anyway:

Ajer possibly joining too?

When Fædrelandsvennen spoke with Ajer after Thursday’s workout, he was determined to play Friday’s friendly against Bodø / Glimt. Instead, he was sitting on the bench for the full 90 minutes, and then teammates lose 0-2 in Nordland Hall.

  • There is talk between Start and Celtic, and so it was. I wanted to play, but it was decided that I should not. It was okay, says Ajer.

  • Who decided that?

  • It was the two clubs, and it is no big deal, says Ajer.

Celtic and Start negotiating about a transition to 17-year-old, who was top scorer Starts with eight goals last season.

  • How far away are the parties to agree?

  • They discuss, and I have actually gotten very little information now. I know very little. The window closes soon, and if it should happen, it must happen quickly, says Ajer.

  • How bright you have to travel to Celtic?

  • It would be fantastic to get such a chance. It is a top team that wants me, so it had obviously been fun, says Ajer, adding.

  • But I do not rush it. Start is a great club to be in it too, so I’ll see what happens, says Ajer.

  • You know what’s ahead?

  • I have no idea really. If the clubs to agree, so I look at it as a great opportunity. So I get to see what comes with Celtic, says Ajer.

Transfer windows in Scotland closes Monday. After that Fædrelandsvennen knowledge, approaching Start up agreement with Celtic on transfer fee.

If the parties agree on a contract, must Ajer discuss his personal contract with Celtic. In addition, he through a medical check.

Fædrelandsvennen also spoke with Jan Tore Ajer, father of Christopher Ajer, Friday. He said the following;

  • There are clubs that are talking together. It is not long until Monday at 24, so it should happen soon. It must really be ready for tomorrow if it should unraveled. It’s such medical tests to be done, and takes some time.

  • Do you want a transition?

-Kristoffer Have least wanted to. But he gets more chances if it was not going to go now. He must just be patient.

CEO of Start, Even Øgrey Brandsdal, had no comment on whether something was going on when he talked with Fædrelandsvennen before Friday’s friendly match.

Start Captain Rolf Daniel Vikstøl, says the following about AJER situation;

  • It’s one reason why he played against Bodø / Glimt, I guess. It is perhaps something approaching, and the transfer window closes well soon. He’s Start player yet, but if he is allowed to turn pro abroad now, so we begrudge him the opportunity. Kristoffer is a huge talent, which can reach very far, but if we lose him, it will be a loss for us, says Vikstøl.

Start coach Steinar Pedersen has not so much to say about the speculation surrounding Ajer.

  • Is Ajer heading away?

  • We’ll see what happens. There has been much back and forth, and there is an ongoing discussion. That’s it, says Pedersen.

  • Are you prepared to lose Ajer?

  • I relate to that it is not something that has happened yet. We take it as it comes, says Pedersen.

Fædrelandsvennen wrote Thursday that Start and Celtic negotiated Ajer, but that the parties currently stood far apart.

Probably requires Start over ten million for 17-year-old, who joined from Lillestrom Start summer 2014. Ajer has a contract with Start going out after this season.

Various reports linking us with Colin Kazim Richards over the past couple of days.

His goalscoring record is dreadful, but he has plenty of caps and plenty of big club experience. Maybe he offers something other than goals? I’m not keen though.

Roberts has signed on an 18-month loan deal:

Kazim Richards is in Glasgow to sign too. How many ineffective wide players do we need? Not saying Roberts is poor but don’t understand need to sign Kazim Richards given GMS, Commons, Armstrong, Rogic, Forrest, Johansen, Allan etc can all play in the “3” in a 4231. What about our young players like Nesbitt etc?

Ciftci is meant to be off to a Turkish club on loan.

Christ.

Our first team squad is as big a mess now as the time Strachan was in charge.

Is Kazim Richards not a central striker?

Either way, he doesn’t seem good enough but I haven’t seen enough of him.

Always thought he was a winger

Back in the day. He plays centrally now AFAIK. You’re familiar with my ethnicity and heritage, no?

He’s signed now anyway.

I’m excited*.

*I’m not.

He looks like a cock.

I do think he’ll be better than Ciftci. Not that that’s saying much.

Celtics squad is a great mix of euro journeymen and god awful scots.
