Oh that’s splendid. What a hero already.

Is that real?

It is indeed.

I’m told we’re trying to sign Bojan from Stoke, bhoys.

Talk tonight that Lustig has agreed a 2-year contract extension with the club holding the option for a third year. He’s currently out of contract in the summer.

Rodgers says he wants Kolo Toure to take on a player-coach role:

O’Connell’s out of contract in the summer so I think that will be the end of his Celtic career.

Fucking Walsall?! He’d be better off playing for Cork City

Eboue signing now announced subject to visa. I thought the visa process was holding up the signing announcement but they’ve gone ahead anyway. Presume the visa will be granted shortly.

He did Celtic a turn last summer in the Champions League qualification games when Simunovic, Sviatchenko and even the bomb scare Boyata were injured and before Toure joined. But he’s not likely to be part of Rodgers’ plans as he’s a bit short of the level required. He’s 21 and hasn’t played many senior games so a good run of appearances in the second half of the season will tell a lot about where he’ll progress to.

I suppose he’d want to stand out in League 1 if he has any dreams of making it at Celtic or even in the championship

Ambrose looks to be on his way to Bastia.

Quotes from Brendan Rodgers in the Sunday papers saying they’re speaking with Manchester City and Roberts to see if a deal can be worked out to keep the young wide attacker at Celtic next season. It doesn’t go into specifics but I imagine it would be another 12-month loan if anything.

I’d be happy enough with that.

Might as well, his career at the top level is over.

Ajer has joined Kilmarnock on loan until the end of the season on the basis he’ll be considered for selection as a centre back.

Henry Onyekuru, a 19-year old Nigerian striker who’s scored 10 goals in the Belgian top division so far this season, has claimed that Celtic have made a bid for him.

A goal and a man of the match award for O’Connell yesterday. Two very impressive performances so far according to my usual Walsall sources.

Some talk now that Celtic still have an option to extend his contract by a year. He might not have a long term future at the club but we’ll probably trigger it.
