Sky Sports News HQ understands Chelsea are today preparing a bid for Celtic and Scotland keeper Craig Gordon.
Gordon is one of three keepers Chelsea are considering as a replacement for Asmir Begovic, who is linked with a £10m move to Bournemouth.
Celtic have the option of extending Gordon’s contract beyond the summer and manager Brendan Rodgers insists the 34-year-old is a big part of his plans.
Espanyol’s Diego Lopez and Fernando Muslera of Galatasaray are also understood to be under consideration, although yesterday our La Liga expert Guillem Balague said Espanyol are convinced Lopez will remain at the club until the end of the season.
Would we sell lads?
If we got a fee of around £5m, I would take it and make do with De Vries or Bailly for the rest of the season. Maybe see if we can get some decent short term cover in any case.

Sure the league is over.
Gordon has done reasonably well for us but you’d always doubt his fitness given his past injury problems and he’s always looked like he has had a mistake in him. I think for £5m we could definitely target a keeper who would be an upgrade on him.

Brendan confirmed this interest yesterday. And Henry missed his last league game and is now on record again staying his desire to join Celtic. I haven’t gotten around to watching any YouTube highlights of this gentleman yet but I’m going to give this move my backing.

Chelsea have made another bid for Gordon. It’s close to GBP£4m and c.£1m above the initial offer.
Bojan joined Mainz on loan over the weekend so that rumour can be put to bed.
Brendan didn’t sound too hopeful of making any more signings in his post-match quotes yesterday. It’s also a little disappointing that we haven’t been successful in getting rid of some players.
Brendan said that Gordon will “categorically” be staying and will be in the team on Wednesday night in his press conference.
SSN are reporting that Chelsea are interested in signing Moussa Dembélé and Celtic are seeking £40m for him.
That’s a pile of bolox.
